Thats not journalism!

In the wake the debate on Michael Moore, "Supersize me", Swift-boats, plagerism, tabloidisation and blogging the phrase:
"thats not journalism!" is heard more and more.
The natural question then becomes
What is journalism?
and the follow-up:
who is a journalist?

I would love to hear your answers to these questions. I will be presenting them at a Scandinavian conference for journalism educators in Iceland
(sep 17 -19) and will blog them as they come in.

I hope you can spare the time to answer, the debate is, I believe, important for journalism and journalism educators.
