Tortyrvänlig justitieminister

President Bush har nominerat en ny justitieminister - Al Gonzalez.
Enligt Presidenten litar han på Al som:

As the top legal official on the White House staff, he has led a superb team of lawyers and has upheld the highest standards of government ethics.
och att Al kommer att
ensure that Americans are protected from discrimination so that each person has the opportunity to live the American Dream, as Al himself has done.
Den goda Al är den juridiska hjärnan bakom försöken att kringgå konventen om tortyr så att fångarna på Guantanamo och Abu Ghraib (och vem vet var) kunde "bearbetas".
Hans höga etiska standarden gäller kanske bara amerikanerna, inga andra förkänner en mänsklig behandling.
